Anyone heard of Jose Gonzalez? Maybe you've heard of him before just couldn't remember him? Well, Jose Gonzalez is Swedish Indie folk artist. His songs are chilled.
On a nice evening, you'd walk to the top of a small hill. On the hill, resides one single maple. You'd sit there under the shade of twigs and leaves as you watch clouds pass by.
That's kinda how his songs sounds like. Pretty nice and chilled. He's officially going into my hall of fame of musicians. The first as I don't remember any other artist I like right now.
Cheers

Strings of Relations
Relationships
What slips across the mind upon that word?
It is easy to take the simplest concept in life for granted. Breathing, eating, such are things in life we take for granted. Yet, people starve and crave for what we take lightly.
Such example of what we take for granted are relationships. Not just those we love as mates, but friendships, family ties and such things. Throughout our lives, we form ties that bonds us to one another. Either lasting bonds that spans across spiritualism or bonds that forms in our minds. Relationships end in either two ways; by death or by outgrowing apart each other. Yet, fragile as it is, these are what determine us as humans.
Relationships are what forms the foundation of our character. They are what would build us up or bring us down. What causes heartbreak yet heals the heart.
Over my short life, I've establish countless upon countless of relationships. Some are brief and short like the death of a star. Some, everlasting, like a shining star across the dark space that spans across our heads. These stars, are what we often overlook. We are ungrateful at times. We look up the sky to the glinting stars that shines beyond and go about our days and night. Occasionally, we sit back and appreciate their beautiful lights in such awe and wish upon them. But the reason we overlook them is the faith that they will always float in their empty spaces at night.
A relationship could be looked upon in that of an under appreciated star. We may not notice the absence of a person, say a father, at times. We may even wish them away for the things wrongly said or done to us. Yet, at times of trouble, we turn to them for help. For the faith of knowing they are always there to help us and guide us, even when they don't know the answers themselves. At that precious moment, we'll appreciate them, praying so they'd never go away.
But as we go about our lives, we forget about them. Work, projects, assignments we just don't look up the skies anymore. Until one day, the stars disappear off the night time sky. At such times, we reminisce of their glory and what happiness they brought us. How they guided us in the seas of life. When we're lost in the flow of the waves, we look upon the stars for guidance. As they faint away, we realize their role in our life.
I pity those with stars not strewn across their life. I pity those that overlook stars in life. Everyday we go about our lives not realizing the people around us. Yet, some people starve and crave for what we have.
As I said, we refuse to acknowledge the simplest concepts in life. We'll only realize we need them once they're gone and forever stars not strewn across the skies.
Happy Father's Day, dedicated to my dad,
Adam
